Free Demo
Dark Tactical Roguelite Auto-Battler · 3×3 Ritual Grid
Demo Overview
The developer released a free Demo on 2023-09-19 (App ID 2577030); as of last count it has 22 Steam reviews at 100% positive, letting you try the core 3×3 grid gameplay before buying the full game.
Worth knowing: as of the September 4 launch-date announcement, the developer confirmed the Demo "now features the latest version of the game, including improvements and changes we've made throughout development." In other words, the Demo is effectively a near-final build — a great way to learn the current systems. Source: Steam Store Page.
How to Play
- On Steam search “Order Automatica Demo”, or open the demo store page
- Click “Download Demo” — no purchase of the full game required

Demo vs Full Game — Where the Line Actually Is
The Demo is not a stripped-down vertical slice: as of the launch-date announcement the developer confirmed it runs the latest version of the game, changes and improvements included. The real difference is which content is enabled, and the demo client's own data shows exactly where that line falls:
| Content | In the Demo | At launch |
|---|---|---|
| Playable units | 14 of 27 | 27 |
| Enemy types | 10 | 10 |
| Grid tile effects | 16 names recovered | 18 official |
| Indulgences | 20 names recovered | 24 official |
| Items | 18 names recovered | 19 official |
| Curses | 9 (names still encoded) | 9 official |
Read that as: the Demo gives you the complete mechanical sandbox — the same 3×3 grid, the same 34 ability triggers, the same candle race — with a reduced unit pool. Nothing you learn in it is throwaway. See the demo-verified unit pool for the exact 14 units you can practise with.
Rows marked "recovered" come from the demo client's own data (AppID 2577030) — these are the entries we could decode, not necessarily the full set the demo ships. Figures marked "official" come from the developer's content announcement. Source: demo client datamine · Steam Community announcements (unit/item data).
Getting the Most Out of the Demo
Because the Demo runs a near-final build, it is the cheapest place to build real muscle memory. Three things worth doing before you decide whether to buy:
- Learn the triggers, not the units. Skim the 34 ability trigger conditions, then watch for them in play. Units rotate between runs; the trigger system is the whole game.
- Test placement deliberately. Run the same roster twice with different positioning and compare the outcome. Auto-battlers hide their depth here, and the grid is the only input you get once a fight starts.
- Settle the hardware question. If the Demo runs smoothly on your machine, the full game will too — the official minimum spec is only 100 MB RAM (see PC system requirements).
When you are done, the launch price and discount window is the next question — and the Demo costs nothing, so there is no reason to rush past it.
Is Order Automatica Free? (Demo vs Full Game)
To be explicit: Order Automatica is not free to own. It is a buy-to-own premium game at $5.99, and there is no redeem-code or key system — you simply buy the edition on your store of choice. The free demo described above is the only way to play without paying, and there is no unlock path or code that converts the demo into the full edition. This is a premium roguelite, not a free-to-play one. Source: Steam Store Page.
One thing to watch for while you search: because the game is paid, sites advertising a “free Order Automatica code” or a free full-game APK are not official channels. Any legitimate discount appears as a normal store sale on the price page — never as a code giveaway.
Steam Listing Details (App ID 2105840)
The paid game is Steam App ID 2105840; the free demo covered on this page is App ID 2577030. Both are live. On PC the Steam listing is Windows-only — there is no macOS or Linux build, so Mac and Linux players should look at the console and mobile storefronts instead. Steam handles refunds through its normal store policy rather than any in-game code system, and progress carries between machines via Steam Cloud. Source: Steam Store Page.
